Bousquet, Ingrid

    French-speaking Photojournalism student at Swansea Metropolitan University interested in subjects related to Anthropology and Cultures, Languages and Interpretation, the Developing World, the Arts, Nature and the Environment, Local and World News with a particular focus on Palestine, climate change and the local community. I use a variety of approaches such as reportage, portraits, landscapes and also train in and use other medias such as video, feature and travel writing. Britton, Vicky

    I am a third year at Dublin City University studying BA Hons Journalism. The course has specific modules in all three areas-broadcast, online and print but I have a passion for broadcast in particular. I work for the award-winning College View Newspaper and have also done work for our campus magazine and the DCUfm  radio station.I really enjoy working in a fast paced news room scenario and would ultimately like to work in TV journalism. Brooks, Angela

    I am a multimedia journalist at Liverpool John Moores studying BA Hons Journalism. I specialise in print however love to converge my work into all other mediums. I am the Digital Content Editor of Liverpool Life Website and have a love for blogging. Outside of university I enjoy photography and work as a freelance photographer in the holidays as well as freelancing for a number of other online publications. Butler, Sam

    In addition to being a third year BA Criminology and Journalism student at the University of the West of England (UWE), over the past two years I have also been the News and Politics Editor and Deputy Editor for the UWE Students’ Union publication WesternEye. My interests are crime and criminal justice, international conflict and diplomacy as well as following how the development and proliferation of military technology affects this. On a lighter note, I also enjoy writing news satire and have a blog, Gripes From the Underground, that also occasionally includes some non-satire pieces.     I’m currently in my final year at Coventry University where i’m studying Journalism and English. Whilst at University i’ve become involved in many student publications including the student newspaper The Source. Although my specific interest lies in print journalism, I also have experience in broadcast journalism. I’ve had work experience with my local newspaper and a national magazine and I’m really looking forward to reporting on the NUJ Delegate Meeting. I’m very grateful to of been given this opportunity. Dickerson, Susa

    I’m a mature third year Magazine Journalism student at Southampton Solent University and plan to do an MA Media next year. I’ve had a camera in my hands since I was little and took photography option last year. My third year option is advanced magazine design. I’m good at proofreading/subbing and researching articles. Dowling, Gareth

    I am at Edge Hill University studying a BA in Journalism. Evans, Bertie

    I am a first year journalism student at the London College of Communication. I am particularly drawn to public order issues and have covered the student protest movement and the English Defence League’s various protests across the country. I recently reported on the TUC march for a liveblog hosted by Elephant student media. I am currently a reporter for Bankside Press who produce a local news website in the south London area. Houghton, Lizzie

    I am currently taking sabbatical leave from studying Sociology and Politics at Lancaster University, in order to edit the student newspaper SCAN. I attended the ADM in 2009 as a student reporter and return this year as the Student Coordinator. After ADM I set up a student chapel at Lancaster and was briefly Mother of that chapel. Before university I did work experience at the Wirral Globe, Liverpool Daily Post and BBC Radio Merseyside. I was also employed for eight months as a writer for an independent news provider called Copycatcher. My specialist areas include the freedom of information act, higher education and tax. I am also a proficient sub-editor. I have recently begun a new blog to record my experiences as a start-up freelance journalist. You can follow me @lizzie056.

    I am a third year Photography student at the University of Portsmouth. Eventually I hope to gain a career within the creative industry, either photographing or writing.     I am currently studying Journalism at the University of the West of Scotland.     I am currently nearing the end of my TV and Current Affairs Masters at City University. I have had experience working with the BBC and a number of independent film production companies. I specialise in current affairs journalism but I am also passionate about print. I focus primarily on investigative work, I work for an organisation called Civic Brief.     I am currently studying a Level 2 BTEC Diploma in Media at New College Nottingham. My ambition in life is to become a video/photo journalist. I have done some networking with professional working photo and video journalists, BBC camera men and news reporters. I have won some awards for my photography including work getting exhibited in China. I have also had two weeks work experience with the picture editor at the Nottingham Post.     I’m 20 and a first year Linguistics student at Queen Mary, University of London. In my year here I’ve been involved with student media, but want to I change the way journalism works for students in London: I founded Elephant at the start of 2011 as an independent, online student journalism group for students in London to participate in. We liveblogged the March For the Alternative from the streets of London, netting 1500 uniques over the weekend. I specialise in tech and am intensely interested in the progress of internet-technologies and social media in the future of journalism. Wallace, Dougal

    I’m currently finishing the third year of a Linguistics degree at SOAS in London. I started out in photojournalism covering the many protests and occupations at SOAS, and am a photographer for the London Student paper covering student activism, news and sports. I’m mainly interested in documentary photography – being able to tell relevant, engaging stories about people in a fair and balanced way. While stills photography is my passion, I’m a big fan of multimedia work (particularly photo/audio slideshows) to add context to my work. I’m a real believer in quality journalism as a force for good, so it’s great to be part of the DM where important policies are discussed at a national level. You can follow me @togmor.

    I’m a first year student at University College London studying for a BA in History. I am interested in writing about things in depth, with a good deal of analysis and reflection. I have recently been elected the editor of the Focus section of UCL’s largest student publication, Pi Newspaper. Over the past year I have written for both Pi Newspaper and Magazine.     I am an award-winning freelance journalist, editor and trainer. I run the Daily Finance website for AOL. I am chair of the NUJ’s Professional Training Committee (ProfCom).
